nonprofit / concept development / fundraising / event invitation
Print is alive and well thanks to our partnership with KVC Health Systems. For the sixth year in a row, we have worked with KVC to develop a tactile and engaging invitation for the nonprofit's annual gala. The client loved the concept of 'fire' since the event has been held at the historic Firestone Building the last few years, but we wanted to add a new twist this year. We settled on the concept of 'spark' and it became the focus of the invitation.
The design incorporated all of these elements, but elicited a vintage cocktail party feel. A big focus of the invitation design was to have it appeal to a multi-generational audience, reiterating that the event has something for everyone and was a can’t-miss event. The invitation had an incredible response rate of 41% (up 10 percent from 2015). The Gala was a large success and raised $250,000 for the organization, allowing KVC to serve more families and children this year in the Kansas City and surrounding areas.
Since starting our partnership with KVC in 2010, the Gala invitation is always one of our favorite projects to work on throughout the year. Not only does it allow us to flex our creative muscles with innovative design and print processes, but it’s also for a great cause that’s just as rewarding as it is inspiring.
