Announcing “Curing” by Dylan Mortimer

REACTOR is very excited to announce our May First Friday show featuring the incredible artwork of Dylan Mortimer. Dylan’s work explores what it means to experience hope, desire and healing in the shadow of hopelessness. These unique pieces that shine a light on the struggle of a severe medical diagnosis will be on display Friday, May 5th.

Dylan’s award-winning sculptures and works on paper have been displayed at Kansas City collections such as The Leedy-Voulkos Art Center, The Studios Inc, The Nerman Museum and The Drugstore. His work has also been featured across the nation including at the Trifecta Gallery in Las Vegas, the Swanson-Reed Contemporary collection in Louisville, KY and The Dumbo Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY. You can explore more about Dylan at his website, here: dylanmortimer.com

The ZZ Hops Home Brewers Club (www.zzhops.com) will be on hand to provide some new and refreshing beers that are sure to help us usher in the summer. They have provided many delicious offerings for us in the past and have some really exciting things for the May show.

There will be a variety of food trucks out front to keep us nourished as we hang out and experience Dylan’s work together. The Carlson’s Sandwiches and Wraps (https://www.facebook.com/thecarlsonsllc/), The Beauty of the Bistro (http://www.beautyofthebistro.com/), Roadkill Cafe (https://www.facebook.com/RoadkillCafeKC/), and Swine and Dine BBQ (https://www.facebook.com/swineanddinebbqtruck/) will all be here providing us with sandwiches, burgers, BBQ and hopefully a taco or two.

We hope that you will join us as we have an engaging, fun, and delicious evening this upcoming First Friday from 5-9 pm at REACTOR.
